Malwarebytes Anti-Malware’s industry-leading scanner detects and removes malware like worms, Trojans, rootkits, rogues, spyware, and more. All you have to do is launch Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and run a scan. It’s that simple and the basic version is free to use.

The First Step in running this application is to download and run.

Ideally you want to click on the Run Button (this option is only available in Internet Explorer)

Then select your preferred language

On the next couple of screens you want to accept the license agreements 

When you see the screen below, you will want to uncheck Enable free trial – this is not needed

Once you have pressed the finish button Malwarebytes will open and update automatically

All you need to do now is press the scan button and let the software run a scan of your PC, the screen presented will be as per the below image

If the Scan finds anything which it classes as an infection it will show you a screen like the one below

All you need to do is click on the quarantine all button in the bottom left, if the PC system requires a reboot then you will be prompted to do this, but in most cases you will not need to.
