Prism’s Winter Wonderland raises a cool £10,000 for the PETT scheme

On Friday 8th December 2017, Quarry Bank Mill was transformed into a magical Winter Wonderland for Prism’s annual Christmas party for local businesses whilst raining money for the PETT scheme at the same time.  The night kicked off with the Congleton singers, followed by a festive feast and a fun night of entertainment and fundraising.

The efforts of the charity auction and other fundraising events throughout the evening meant that last year’s fundraising total was smashed, reaching an amazing £10,000.

Host for the event was David Watson, CEO of East Cheshire Chamber “It was such a fantastic night and great to see local businesses supporting each other by purchasing tickets for their employees to join the winter wonderland event whilst raising some money for a good cause at the same time.  Many local businesses and their employees came together all in the name of festive fun and fundraising.”

“Some of the prizes donated for the silent auction and raffle were incredible. Many businesses and guests attended and danced their way into the early hours to live band, ‘The Still’.

“We moved winter wonderland to a larger venue this year as the demand for tickets was so high last year and we were absolutely thrilled to sell out of tickets again this year, with all the profits going straight to the PETT scheme (Prism Empowering Through Technology).

Richard Alexander, Prism Solutions Co-founder said “Winter Wonderland was kindly supported by local sponsors and businesses who donated many prizes and donations.  PETT is making a huge difference to charities across the UK and through these fund-raising efforts we can continue to support the groups we have helped over the years as well as helping new applicants who are in need of IT equipment.”

Prism regularly speak to charities and one that they helped recently explained what a difference the PETT scheme has made to them: “As Squadron Commander, I can’t thank PETT enough for what they have done for our air cadet unit.  PETT took the time to understand what we needed support with and then delivered the equipment to help us.  Enquiry levels have risen, cadet numbers and attendance are up but most importantly, PETT have helped us improve the overall experience for our cadets, which is our ultimate goal.”  Steven Cairns MCGI, Flight Lieutenant RAFVR(T) and Officer Commanding 2496 Cumbernauld Squadron.

The Prism team also put a great effort into the event to ensure that fundraising opportunities are maximised on the night.  Their effort was outstanding with many employees volunteering and giving up their own time to help.

“Events of this scale and standard don’t happen without the Prism team pulling out all the stops.  I wanted to thank everyone involved for their support, it wouldn’t happen without your help. Thank you.  I would also like to thank the main event sponsors  and once again to thank David Watson, our fantastic host for the evening.  We are very thankful that we can help in this way and I know the charities are very grateful.” Gary Smith, Prism Solutions Co-founder
