Prism Solutions has assisted Age UK Oldham by providing 4 refurbished machines (2 desktops and 2 laptops), primarily for their “Life Story” project. The project helped older people to remember and then record their past in a unique book which their families can benefit from. Volunteers managed to get some amazing stories and history which often the families were not aware of. This is seen as excellent therapy for older people whose memories may be failing.

Age UK Oldham provides opportunities for the entire spectrum of older people in the local area including traditional day care services, falls prevention classes, personal Life Stories project and disability, mobility and healthcare aids.

They also run preventative projects aimed at a more diverse population, including our handyvan service, shopping service and lunch clubs.
