In today’s cyber world data is one of the most valuable commodities yet many users have still to realise the potential hazards they could face if their data is placed in the wrong hands. Data is a word we have become used to hearing over the past decade as businesses and public sector organisations have moved towards a “central data base”. We are used to being told during a phone call or order we are placing that an organisation we are dealing with would like to “update their records”. • Use the PC or data medium to import undesirable data and sneak in harmful programs like Trojans and viruses that then compromise system stability
